In this interactive training, caregivers will learn what sexual and labor exploitation is, laws and policies that assist victims and survivors, how to identify potential victims, recruitment techniques and how victims are lured into the lifestyle of exploitation, the use of internet and social media in recruitment and the different tools and codes used online to promote, sell and traffic youth.Advanced registration required.

Trust-Based Relational Intervention
with Senta Burton, MSW
This course offers an informal, yet thorough approach to Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), an evidence-based intervention for children from hard places of abuse, neglect, and/or trauma. Topics include Understanding Trauma, TBRI Empowering, Connecting, and Correcting Principles, as well as real-life examples and testimonials from caregivers and professionals who use TBRI. Advanced registration required.

Grandparents as Parents
Grandparents as Parents is a support group of caregivers that are currently raising or have raised their grandchildren or another person's children. This group meets to provide support and information, as well as share personal experiences, with one another. It is open to any foster parent or anyone who is raising someone else's child.
First and third Thursday of the month, 11:00am – 1:00pm
